The Night Shift S4 Episode Guide

4.01 RECOIL
Jordan and Drew perform a daring rescue. The Night Shift gets a new ER nurse with a mysterious past (recurring guest star Mark Consuelos).
Jordan (Jill Flint) and Drew (Brendan Fehr) perform a daring rescue by jumping from a chopper. Landing at the nearest VA hospital, Jordan sparks a plan to appease Julian (James McDaniel) and reunite her night shift team. Back at the hospital, Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) deals with the repercussions of standing up to his father while Scott (Scott Wolf) dives headlong into his professional life. Kenny (JR Lemon) butts heads with Cain (recurring guest star Mark Consuelos), a traveling nurse with a mysterious past. Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) indoctrinates Cain as they work in San Antonio Memorial’s understaffed and overworked ER. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) is held captive in Syria. In order to find Syd (recurring guest star Jennifer Beals), TC must treat his captor instead of returning to the safety of an air base with a civilian volunteer, Amira (Rana Roy).

4.02 OFF THE RAILS
TC continues his quest to reunite with Syd but his survival depends on keeping his wounded captor alive.
After performing a daring on-site rescue to save a teenage girl, Drew (Brendan Fehr) is forced to re-evaluate his priorities as a new father. Back at the hospital, the ER is flooded with mass casualty victims from an amusement park disaster. Hoping to get Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) back on staff, Jordan (Jill Flint) facilitates a rapprochement between Paul and his father (guest star James McDaniel). Meanwhile, Scott (Scott Wolf) pursues a more active role in the hospital. Kenny (JR Lemon) tries to put Cain (guest star Mark Consuelos) in his place, but Cain’s deft handling of an emergency shows Kenny that he may have bit off more than he can chew. 

4.03 DO NO HARM
Jordan and Cain head to the scene of a massive oil field explosion. TC steps out of bounds to help a sick Syrian boy.
Jordan (Jill Flint) and Cain (Mark Consuelos) figure out their professional dynamic as they work on a patient with extreme injuries from an oil field explosion. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) receive a patient from the same accident, and must figure out a solution to save the patient’s severed hand. Scott (Scott Wolf) is caught off guard when Annie (guest star Sarah Jane Morris) shows up to the hospital with an unexpected guest from his past. Kenny (JR Lemon) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) struggle to adjust to their new living situation. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) and Amira (guest star Rana Roy) clash over treating a Syrian child on the American base.

4.04 CONTROL
TC steps up to save a seal commander in jeopardy. Jordan gets creative to help a veteran in need.
When a patient from a distant town journeys to SAM for surgery, Scott (Scott Wolf) commits to helping her against all odds. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Cain (Mark Consuelos) help a wounded veteran come to terms with a diagnosis he doesn’t believe he has. Meanwhile, Drew (Brendan Fehr) struggles with the exhaustion of being a working parent and finds support from an unusual patient. After a long night, Kenny (JR Lemon) learns life is too short to worry about trivial matters. TC (Eoin Macken) joins a daring rescue mission in Syria. 

4.05 TURBULENCE
Drew faces an extreme emergency when passengers become sickened mid-flight. Special guest Akbar Gbajabiamila (‘AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR’) stops by for an obstacle course fundraiser.
Drew (Brendan Fehr), his mom (guest star Becky Ann Baker), and Rick’s (guest star Luke MacFarlane) flight home turns into a medical crisis at 35,000 feet when passengers become sickened one by one. Jordan (Jill Flint), Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.), Shannon (Tanaya Beatty), Kenny (JR Lemon), and Cain (Mark Consuelos) spend their day off at an obstacle course fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis, hosted by Akbar Gbajabjamila (“American Ninja Warrior”). Scott (Scott Wolf) finds himself on a Tinder date he won’t soon forget. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) puts his own life in danger to operate on a soldier.

4.06 FAMILY MATTERS
Kenny tries out MMA and soon finds himself in the fight of his life. The night shift treats special victims from a hotel fire. 
Kenny (JR Lemon) joins Drew (Brendan Fehr) at his MMA veteran’s support group and finds himself in the fight of his life. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Cain (recurring guest star Mark Consuelos) treat casualties from a hotel fire while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) follows a hunch to help save a young victim. Paul’s (Robert Bailey Jr.) superstar sister, Dr. Bella Cummings (guest star Erica Tazel, “Justified”), pays a visit to San Antonio Memorial and provides desperately needed support during a busy shift. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) finally returns home, forcing him to deal with Topher’s death. 

4.07 KEEP THE FAITH
San Antonio Memorial has a busy night full of veteran patients in need.
When protestors descend on a funeral for a dear member of the night shift family, multiple veterans are injured and brought to San Antonio Memorial for treatment. A high profile politician from Drew’s (Brendan Fehr) past triggers flashbacks to his time in Iraq. Jordan (Jill Flint), Scott (Scott Wolf), and TC (Eoin Macken) disagree on how to best provide care for the politician. Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) must improvise while tending to Doug (gust star Dan Lauria, “Royal Pains”), a former POW. Cain (guest star Mark Consuelos) and Drew treat a fearless photographer. 

4.08 R3BOOT
A cyber attack wreaks havoc on the hospital. TC grappels with whether to return to Syria.
When Jordan (Jill Flint) realizes the hospital is under cyber-attack, she leads the team in managing patient care as chaos ensues. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Kenny (JR Lemon) treat a critical patient forcing Drew to call on his medical and military training. TC (Eoin Macken) joins Rick (guest star Luke Macfarlane) and his partner (guest star Michael Lehr) on a SWAT drug raid. Meanwhile, he wrestles with whether or not he should return to Syria to tie up loose ends. Scott Wolf, Robert Bailey Jr. and Tanaya Beatty also star.

4.09 LAND OF THE FREE
San Antonio Memorial takes in patients from a swat raid. Cain’s mysterious past chatches up with him.
TC (Eoin Macken) and Jordan (Jill Flint) accompany a SWAT team on a raid and wind up with an emergency room full of sickened immigrants, including one with murderous intentions. Scott (Scott Wolf) pulls a dream team together to impress the Colonel in charge of setting up a combat training program. More is learned about Cain’s (guest star Mark Consuelos) past. Kenny (JR Lemon) shares some big news with the group, while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) keeps something personal from Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.). 

4.10 Episode 10
A  massive campus shooting puts the night shift crew in harm’s way. Drew and Shannon struggle with plans for the future.
A shooting at a nearby college sends TC (Eoin Macken), Jordan (Jill Flint), Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Amira (guest star Rana Roy) into the field, where they assist Rick (guest star Luke Macfarlane) with a deadly situation. Scott (Scott Wolf) implements a new training program and locks horns with Julian (guest star James McDaniel). Drew (Brendan Fehr) struggles with frustrations about going to Army Ranger School while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) and TC both contemplate their future at San Antonio Memorial. Robert Bailey Jr. and JR Lemon also star.
