The Night Shift S4 Episode Guide

Jordan and Drew perform a daring rescue. The Night Shift gets a new ER nurse with a mysterious past (recurring guest star Mark Consuelos).
Jordan (Jill Flint) and Drew (Brendan Fehr) perform a daring rescue by jumping from a chopper. Landing at the nearest VA hospital, Jordan sparks a plan to appease Julian (James McDaniel) and reunite her night shift team. Back at the hospital, Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) deals with the repercussions of standing up to his father while Scott (Scott Wolf) dives headlong into his professional life. Kenny (JR Lemon) butts heads with Cain (recurring guest star Mark Consuelos), a traveling nurse with a mysterious past. Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) indoctrinates Cain as they work in San Antonio Memorial’s understaffed and overworked ER. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) is held captive in Syria. In order to find Syd (recurring guest star Jennifer Beals), TC must treat his captor instead of returning to the safety of an air base with a civilian volunteer, Amira (Rana Roy).

TC continues his quest to reunite with Syd but his survival depends on keeping his wounded captor alive.
After performing a daring on-site rescue to save a teenage girl, Drew (Brendan Fehr) is forced to re-evaluate his priorities as a new father. Back at the hospital, the ER is flooded with mass casualty victims from an amusement park disaster. Hoping to get Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) back on staff, Jordan (Jill Flint) facilitates a rapprochement between Paul and his father (guest star James McDaniel). Meanwhile, Scott (Scott Wolf) pursues a more active role in the hospital. Kenny (JR Lemon) tries to put Cain (guest star Mark Consuelos) in his place, but Cain’s deft handling of an emergency shows Kenny that he may have bit off more than he can chew. 

Jordan and Cain head to the scene of a massive oil field explosion. TC steps out of bounds to help a sick Syrian boy.
Jordan (Jill Flint) and Cain (Mark Consuelos) figure out their professional dynamic as they work on a patient with extreme injuries from an oil field explosion. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) receive a patient from the same accident, and must figure out a solution to save the patient’s severed hand. Scott (Scott Wolf) is caught off guard when Annie (guest star Sarah Jane Morris) shows up to the hospital with an unexpected guest from his past. Kenny (JR Lemon) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) struggle to adjust to their new living situation. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) and Amira (guest star Rana Roy) clash over treating a Syrian child on the American base.

TC steps up to save a seal commander in jeopardy. Jordan gets creative to help a veteran in need.
When a patient from a distant town journeys to SAM for surgery, Scott (Scott Wolf) commits to helping her against all odds. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Cain (Mark Consuelos) help a wounded veteran come to terms with a diagnosis he doesn’t believe he has. Meanwhile, Drew (Brendan Fehr) struggles with the exhaustion of being a working parent and finds support from an unusual patient. After a long night, Kenny (JR Lemon) learns life is too short to worry about trivial matters. TC (Eoin Macken) joins a daring rescue mission in Syria. 

Drew faces an extreme emergency when passengers become sickened mid-flight. Special guest Akbar Gbajabiamila (‘AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR’) stops by for an obstacle course fundraiser.
Drew (Brendan Fehr), his mom (guest star Becky Ann Baker), and Rick’s (guest star Luke MacFarlane) flight home turns into a medical crisis at 35,000 feet when passengers become sickened one by one. Jordan (Jill Flint), Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.), Shannon (Tanaya Beatty), Kenny (JR Lemon), and Cain (Mark Consuelos) spend their day off at an obstacle course fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis, hosted by Akbar Gbajabjamila (“American Ninja Warrior”). Scott (Scott Wolf) finds himself on a Tinder date he won’t soon forget. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) puts his own life in danger to operate on a soldier.

Kenny tries out MMA and soon finds himself in the fight of his life. The night shift treats special victims from a hotel fire. 
Kenny (JR Lemon) joins Drew (Brendan Fehr) at his MMA veteran’s support group and finds himself in the fight of his life. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Cain (recurring guest star Mark Consuelos) treat casualties from a hotel fire while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) follows a hunch to help save a young victim. Paul’s (Robert Bailey Jr.) superstar sister, Dr. Bella Cummings (guest star Erica Tazel, “Justified”), pays a visit to San Antonio Memorial and provides desperately needed support during a busy shift. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) finally returns home, forcing him to deal with Topher’s death. 

San Antonio Memorial has a busy night full of veteran patients in need.
When protestors descend on a funeral for a dear member of the night shift family, multiple veterans are injured and brought to San Antonio Memorial for treatment. A high profile politician from Drew’s (Brendan Fehr) past triggers flashbacks to his time in Iraq. Jordan (Jill Flint), Scott (Scott Wolf), and TC (Eoin Macken) disagree on how to best provide care for the politician. Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) must improvise while tending to Doug (gust star Dan Lauria, “Royal Pains”), a former POW. Cain (guest star Mark Consuelos) and Drew treat a fearless photographer.

A cyber attack wreaks havoc on the hospital. TC grappels with whether to return to Syria.
When Jordan (Jill Flint) realizes the hospital is under cyber-attack, she leads the team in managing patient care as chaos ensues. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Kenny (JR Lemon) treat a critical patient forcing Drew to call on his medical and military training. TC (Eoin Macken) joins Rick (guest star Luke Macfarlane) and his partner (guest star Michael Lehr) on a SWAT drug raid. Meanwhile, he wrestles with whether or not he should return to Syria to tie up loose ends. Scott Wolf, Robert Bailey Jr. and Tanaya Beatty also star.

San Antonio Memorial takes in patients from a swat raid. Cain’s mysterious past chatches up with him.
TC (Eoin Macken) and Jordan (Jill Flint) accompany a SWAT team on a raid and wind up with an emergency room full of sickened immigrants, including one with murderous intentions. Scott (Scott Wolf) pulls a dream team together to impress the Colonel in charge of setting up a combat training program. More is learned about Cain’s (guest star Mark Consuelos) past. Kenny (JR Lemon) shares some big news with the group, while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) keeps something personal from Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.).

A  massive campus shooting puts the night shift crew in harm’s way. Drew and Shannon struggle with plans for the future.
A shooting at a nearby college sends TC (Eoin Macken), Jordan (Jill Flint), Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Amira (guest star Rana Roy) into the field, where they assist Rick (guest star Luke Macfarlane) with a deadly situation. Scott (Scott Wolf) implements a new training program and locks horns with Julian (guest star James McDaniel). Drew (Brendan Fehr) struggles with frustrations about going to Army Ranger School while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) and TC both contemplate their future at San Antonio Memorial. Robert Bailey Jr. and JR Lemon also star.

Episode 1, June 1, 2016
The Times They Are A-Changin
In the first half of this two-part episode, the night shift crew is back for more action and the gang finds themselves immersed in a life-and-death rescue of a woman gravely injured in a car accident. While TC Callahan (Eoin Macken), Scott Clemmens (Scott Wolf) and Topher Zia (Ken Leung) deal with the situation at the hospital,Drew Alister (Brendan Fehr) is serving time overseas in Afghanistan and he, along with colleague Syd Jennings (recurring guest star Jennifer Beals, “Proof”), have to figure out a way around the cultural divide to treat a young Afghani woman. Jordan Alexander (Jill Flint) has recruited Shannon Rivera (Tanaya Beatty, “Lewis and Clark”) to the night shift team and the recent med school graduate is eager to prove herself, but her spunky, outspoken nature may not sit well with everyone, particularly Paul Cummings (Robert Bailey Jr.). TC’s sister-in-law, Annie (Sarah Jane Morris), returns and JR Lemon also stars as Nurse Kenny Fournette.

The Thing With Feathers
The team works frantically to find a young car accident victim while Drew and Syd handle a potentially fatal situation in Afghanistan.
In the second half of this two-part episode, TC (Eoin Macken) and Scott (Scott Wolf) work desperately to save a young boy and his mother who were injured in a car accident. With the boy’s life hanging in the balance, the team starts to realize there is more to the family dynamic than meets the eye. Meanwhile, Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Syd (Jennifer Beals), deployed overseas in Afghanistan, deal with the aftermath of shots fired in the OR.

The Way back
Drew returns from Afghanistan and must adjust. Topher’s mother pays a visit and he learns important lessons about family.
Drew (Brendan Fehr) returns from deployment in Afghanistan and can’t seem to shake off the stress of being back from overseas. Things get crazy right away as he, Jordan (Jill Flint) and Kenny (JR Lemon) treat a bride (Lindsey Morgan, “The 100”) and her wedding party who have been injured during the festivities, as well as her father, whose presence is not making things easier. Meanwhile, TC (Eoin Macken) helps Topher (Ken Leung) entertain his demanding mother, whose extended visit is putting stress on the family. Scott Wolf, Robert Bailey Jr. and Tanaya Beatty also star.

Episode 4, June 22, 2016
Racial protests over an impending jury verdict wreak havoc for the night shift at San Antonio Memorial Hospital.
As the city erupts in violence over an impending jury verdict, the night shift becomes ground zero when they have to take in the man suspected of the racially-motivated shooting at the source of the unrest. His presence in the emergency room sparks sharp conversation and disagreements among the staff over the highly-charged topic and even close friends Kenny (JR Lemon) and Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) find themselves at odds. Topher (Ken Leung) does his best to control the mounting chaos in the ER while out in the field, TC (Eoin Macken) makes a decision as to which of two patients to bring in, leaving Paul and Scott (Scott Wolf) to question TC’s motives. Jill Flint, Brendan Fehr and Tanaya Beatty also star.

Get Busy Livin’
Jordan bonds with a special patient while a colledge co-ed’s tumble from a balcony turns out to be more than meets the eye.
A college co-ed falls from a balcony and once she is in the ER, TC (Eoin Macken) and Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) find that her situation is even more complex. Jordan (Jill Flint) bonds with a terminal patient who teaches her some important lessons about living. TC’s errant sister-in-law Annie (guest star Sarah Jane Morris) returns and hopes to make amends. Meanwhile, AnnaLynne McCord guest stars as Jessica – a pharmaceutical rep with cutting-edge equipment that Scott (Scott Wolf) is so close to getting for the hospital – if her tension with TC doesn’t kill the deal. Ken Leung, Brendan Fehr, JR Lemon and Tanaya Beatty also star.

Hot In the City
Record breaking heat sends the night shift team and their patiens into a frenzy.
Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) and Jordan (Jill Flint) venture out for some fun at a local wrestling event only to find themselves treating people on site when a fight breaks out amongst the audience. Back at the hospital, Sam (guest star Michael Cassidy) attends to a marathon runner who has collapsed from the heat and things start to heat up even more when the air conditioning breaks. Meanwhile, tensions between TC (Eoin Macken), Jordan, Sam, and Annie (guest star Sarah Jane Morris, “Grey’s Anatomy”) start to boil. Scott Wolf, Ken Leung, Brendan Fehr, Robert Bailey Jr. and JR Lemon also star. 

Episode 7, July 6, 2016
A fireworks explosion at a local concert sends patients streaming into the emergency room. Syd returns from Afghanistan and struggles with getting back to normal.
TC (Eoin Macken) and Topher (Ken Leung) rush to the scene of a concert where a fireworks explosion has caused massive chaos. As the two jump in to manage the mess, a second explosion causes problems for one of our own. Syd (recurring guest star Jennifer Beals), returns from Afghanistan and helps out with the team at San Antonio Memorial but finds herself grappling with best plans for herself and her young daughter. Drew (Brendan Fehr) tries to help but runs afoul of their unique family dynamic. Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) put aside their differences to treat a patient and find they have more in common than they thought. Meanwhile, Jordan (Jill Flint) and Scott (Scott Wolf) treat a patient injured in the fireworks explosion and have a chance to address some simmering differences. JR Lemon also stars.

Topher’s mother lands in the ER with mysterious symptoms. Drew and Shannon treat a badly injured foster mom and make a discovery.
Topher’s (Ken Leung) mother arrives in the ER with life-threatening symptoms. As her condition deteriorates, the team works furiously to save her before it’s too late. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) treat a gravely injured foster mom and while Drew bonds with the scared young foster daughter, the team discovers the mother has a secret. Meanwhile, Jordan (Jill Flint) and Scott (Scott Wolf) treat a patient with a rare condition and when an important piece of equipment needed for his treatment fails, Jordan must enlist the help of TC’s (Eoin Macken) new girlfriend Jessica (guest star AnnaLynne McCord, “Secrets and Lies”) whose company makes the machine. JR Lemon also stars.

A bomb explodes outside San Antonio Memorial. Nurses are on strike when the hospital needs them the most.
When a bomb explodes outside the hospital, TC (Eoin Macken), Topher (Ken Leung) and Drew (Brendan Fehr) are forced to make the tough decision to stay and treat the injured or evacuate and begin transfers to nearby hospitals. Everything changes when TC suddenly realizes he may know the person responsible for the explosion. While the team works feverishly to tend to the wounded, the nurses go on strike just when the hospital needs them the most. Meanwhile, throughout the intense night shift, Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) and Paul (Robert Bailey, Jr.) attempt to confront each other about something personal. Scott Wolf, Jill Flint and JR Lemon also star.

Scott reunites with the boy he paralyzed. TC risks his life to rescue a dying teen from a gravel pit. 
TC (Eoin Macken) and Paul (Robert Bailey, Jr.) pull out all the stops when a crane collapses on a worker at a busy construction site. As Paul works tirelessness to save the crush victim, an observer falls into a deadly gravel pit. TC throws himself into the pit and races to save the patient before he’s swallowed by the shifting gravel. Back at the ER, Scott (Scott Wolf) is shaken as the teenage boy he paralyzed returns to the hospital with new complications. Jordan (Jill Flint) lends support as the emotional case exposes complicated feelings from the past. Meanwhile when a life-saving donor matches with cystic fibrosis patient, Brianna (guest star Kyla Kenedy), Drew (Brendan Fehr) determines the depth of his feelings for her. AnnaLynne McCord guest stars; Ken Leung and JR Lemon also star.

TC’s hot temper lands him and Drew a night behind bars. Jordan discovers her new date’s secret life.
TC (Eoin Macken) initiates a bar brawl, landing him and Drew (Brendan Fehr) in jail for the night. While behind bars, Drew and TC’s relationship reaches a breaking point. Jordan (Jill Flint) rushes her date to the ER, where she’s shocked to learn he’s not who she thought he was. Topher (Ken Leung) fights for a patient who many doctors have dismissed. Scott (Scott Wolf) and Annie (guest star Sarah Jane Morris) struggle to save their relationship while Jessica (guest star AnnaLynne McCord) works to win back TC’s trust. In part one of this two-part season finale, Scott (Scott Wolf) and Jordan (Jill Flint) face grave danger during a rescue mission at a rapidly spreading wildfire outside San Antonio. Tensions are high between Syd (recurring guest star Jennifer Beals) and TC (Eoin Macken) as they find themselves in the middle of a humanitarian crisis on the Syria-Turkey border. Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) argue over treatment for a patient. Meanwhile, a major setback threatens Drew’s (Brendan Fehr) adoption plans for Brianna (guest star Kyla Kenedy), Topher (Ken Leung) struggles to find a buyer for the hospital and medication goes missing. Scott and Jordan are trapped as the wildfire rapidly gains intensity. TC goes to great lenghts to get medication for hundreds of patients stricken with typhus.
